Wolves and Wapiti - June 29 - Rock N' Rolla

Today was another jam-packed day of fun! After a scrumptious breakfast we had our first lessons today and the students learnt lots about each other and each others’ interests and cultures. After that we had a Happy Hut lunch with a variety of food ending with a tasty Saskatoon berry pie! Next we headed off for a couple rounds of bowling. One of our students, Petr, scored a very impressive 190 tally his first time out!!! Then we had a challenging game of soccer with both a “serious” and a “for-fun” match. Even though it was raining cats and dogs we carried on with great team spirit. With all that running around, we enjoyed a well-deserved dinner at Denny’s where we got a choice of Cheeseburgers, Bacon Burgers, Club Sandwiches or Pancakes! But the day wasn’t over yet! The evening ended with a throwback to the 70s at the roller-skate disco. There were a few hard falls but everyone kept smiling through it and dancing to the music. By sunset we were EXHAUSTED! But the students didn’t miss the chance to make use of the Wi-Fi. Overall, it was an amazing day where the students made new friends and enjoyed new experiences.
