Wolves and Wapiti - June 30 - Tricks of the Trade

Today our students were all very excited and looking forward to the activities of the day. But before that we began the morning with a nutritious breakfast (a must at Wynchemna). Next we had our daily dose of English lessons and the students were really getting into it, laughing and shouting and having a rollicking good time! For lunch we had beef with vegetables and macaroni with ice cream sandwiches for dessert, too! Then we played an intense game of street hockey and a fun game of “Bump” before a basketball match. Luckily there was a little rain at the end to cool us down after all that running around! We were getting hungry and so we headed to Market Mall where we had a choice of Mexican food or Bourbon food. Now we had a challenging task ahead of us . . . The Paper-Clip Game! We got into our breakfast groups and were handed our paper-clips. The objective was to go knocking from door to door and trade our paper-clips for bigger and better prizes. The students each got a chance to barter with our friendly Calgarian neighbours. The excited shouts of the students could be heard up and down the streets after each successful trade. By the end we had these prize items: two leather chairs, a fur coat, a Keurig coffee maker, a collection of books, a collection of DVDs, and many, many more awesome trades! It was another fantastic day at Wynchemna, and we’re just getting started!J[AFG_gallery id='236']
