A Global Feast and Karaoke Extravangza

Today, the children started their day with a delicious breakfast that included eggs and bacon, toast, and waffles. Energized and ready to go, they then dove into their daily lessons. These lessons focused on Descriptive Writing, continued the exciting Zombie Apocalypse storyline, practiced reading dialogues, and engaged in a fun Canadian Culture Jeopardy game.

After the lessons, the students enjoyed a leisurely stroll to North Hill Mall for lunch at Vanillas. They had a variety of choices, including pizzas, fries, chicken, salads, and fruit salads. The students socialized and shared their excitement for shopping for International Supper. Following lunch, with a twist! The students were told that they are to have a representative from each continent, to teach other cultures their ways of cooking. Some students visited the grocery stores to shop for ingredients such as Safeway and Tops Supermarket.

The grocery shopping was a chance for the students to explore and learn about their peers' cultures, sparking curiosity and engagement. They collaborated and communicated consistently to create successful meals for everyone to enjoy. The day concluded with a cultural meal get-together, where everyone had the opportunity to taste the diverse dishes. Each representative explained the dish they chose to make as a group, and important fun facts. The fun continued with a lively karaoke session, ending the day on a high note. Many students participated and came out of their shell!
