Retail therapy!

Today we shopped til we dropped! After a nutritious breakfast and with our wallets ready to go, we took an exciting trip on the train to begin our shopping adventure! The students divided and conquered once we reached the mall and upon getting a quick lunch at A&W!

Campers shopped at familiar favourites as well as Canadian staples like Lululemon, Roots, and Hudson’s Bay. Many purchases were made such as souvenirs and gifts for family and friends; with questions lingering as to how all these new items will fit into suitcases on the journey back home! Too bad no one bought a bigger suitcase!

Half way through our day of shopping, campers had the choice to attend one of two movies, Despicable Me 4 or Inside out 2. Both theatres were full of laughter and had campers on the edge of their seats in anticipation for how the plot was going to unfold. Inside out 2 was full of positive messages about expressing your emotions and how to combat unhappy experiences. Despicable Me 4 subtly taught viewers about the capacity for change and growth as people. So heartwarming!
Following the entertaining movies, it was time for more shopping before dinner at Subway!

Supper became an exciting event as everyone met back up together as a whole group, which allowed our different shopping groups to share their purchases with each other-creating an impromptu “show and tell”.

After a big day with big purchases, it was time to head back to SAIT for our lessons, free time, and sleep!

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
