A Paperclip Can Go a Long Way
Today we started off the day with our first set of lessons. We had fun learning and playing games about descriptive language. We grew closer with each-other by sharing our favorite things, our interests and our hopes and dreams for the future. After we sat down and had some beautiful lemon fish for lunch, before taking off and starting the red paperclip challenge. In this activity students went door to door trading with people to get bigger snd better stuff. Despite just starting with a paperclip the kids did great, we ended up with a bicycle, a underwater camera, luxury soaps, and an arcade game, all the while having a ton of fun. We wrapped up our day with a meal at the famous Bourbon Street BBQ, and some late night basketball and playing at the park.
