Camping in the Incredible Kananaskis County
Finally, the absolute best part of summer camp in Canada: Camping in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. After packing up our tents and sleeping bags, we headed west to Kananaskis where we set up for the week, ate a grand feast cooked by our talented student chefs and turned in for the first night. For the week to follow, we went on some amazing and challenging hikes at Troll Falls and Rawson Lake, saw the famous Lake Louise on horseback, drake glacier water at Columbia Lake Ice fields, challenged each other to a series of camping games at Pocaterra, and went paddle boarding at the lake. We enjoyed gorgeous sceneries in the Canadian Rockies and witnessed many wild animals like mountain goats, bears, and lots of gophers. Students showed great teamwork, helping to cook, clean and move equipment so that everyone could have a fantastic time. What a great way to end our time in Canada!
