Climbing, Canoeing, and Casinos!

A jam-packed day here with the Turtles! We started the day early a quick breakfast and headed towards our first activities. We split into two groups to experience the Calgary Climbing Center and canoeing with friends! Students sailed up the walls and cheered on friends as they challenged themselves to go further. Shoutouts to those who faced their fears! We also saw some real skills from Jose, who climbed the speed wall in less than 13 seconds! While it rained a bit during our canoeing time, it didn’t stop campers from gliding across the water and getting super close to Canadian Geese.

Following our morning, we jumped into lessons. Some highlights were Calvin’s Improv introduction class and Taiga’s “Jack-of-all-trades” lesson. Next, we dressed up and had an evening in the SAIT tower. After a meal of quesadillas and Oreo cake, we jumped downstairs to a night of games. Kids loved to try new card games, drink root beer floats, and shout bingo! Many walked away with prizes. We look forward to great tent games tomorrow! Yahoo!
