Football, Ultimate Frisbee, and Loose Moose!
Today was jammed packed with activities. The day started off with lessons where students took part in police investigations and learned how to give directions on a map. The police investigation lesson was a big hit. Students took turns interrogating a group of suspects that were seen at a made up crime. The students then decided if the suspects were guiltily or not before switching roles. After lessons the students headed to lunch.
The second part of the day got the students out of the classroom and into the field to play football and frisbee. Ultimate frisbee had the students working together in teams to move their frisbee up the field and into the other teams end zone. The students could be seen running hard and making some amazing catches. The students then switched to football where they worked on throwing the perfect spiral and performing plays. By the end of the afternoon students had worked hard and were ready for dinner. Dinner was at Boston Pizza where the students had a mixture of wing flavours and pizza.
The final activity of the day was a Loose Moose workshop. Loose Moose is a comedy show were the actors do improve. We had the honour of welcoming Shawn at Wynchemna to help our students learn the basics of improve. The students had the chance to work with each other in team building games and activities. This workshop was enjoyed by all of the students. We could hear them talking about how much they enjoyed it until lights out. We can’t wait for another exciting day tomorrow!
