Hockey, Basketball, and Paper Clip Game!

Today was another great sunny day at Wynchemna! The students started off their mornings with English lessons where they learned about Canadian slang and Canadian celebrities. After lunch the whole crew headed down to the parks to play hockey and basketball. Although it was the first time playing hockey for many of the students, thanks to teacher Hunter’s lesson the students were beyond talented! At the basketball courts the students practiced some drills led by teacher Abbie and played BUMP and a few half court games! Tonight for supper we headed over to the University of Calgary and had some lively conversations over supper. To end the night off, the students and teachers played the Paper Clip Game. Each team started with a paper clip and went door-to-door to trade their paper clip for a new item. The results were crazy! Students were able to trade their paper clip for things such as a GoPro, money, Ripstik, and one group even got invited into a house to sit down and eat jelly beans while taking a tour of the massive puzzle basement! All to say, today was an amazing day here at Wynchemna, and we are excited to celebrate Canada day tomorrow!
