Happy Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day everyone!
To start off the month of June, students enjoyed some lessons focused on Canada Day. We had fun playing Family Feud with Maggie, discussing Canadian foods, landmarks, and sports. Students were encouraged to wear red and white to embody our Holiday. After a quick national anthem from the teachers, we geared up and travelled to Prince Island. Once there, we ventured around playing soccer, volleyball, football, and card games. The weather was quite hot, so some students took a trip along the water front to get smoothies and other cold drinks.
After our fun in the sun, we took a trip to Denny’s and feasted on sausage skillets, avocado Caesar salads, and chicken burgers. With stomaches full, we travelled to an improv comedy show at the Loose Moose. Students were having so much fun watching the actors make up crazy scenes instantaneously. Some highlighted skits ranged from a drawn-out dramatic duel to concerningly clingy cats! So many great laughs and memories today. We look forward to what July has in store!
