IKEA's Space Travelling Cowboy: Movie Filming Day!

Today started with a nutritious breakfast including orange juice, milk, yogurt, eggs, and cereal. The day began with engaging lessons where students were asked thought-provoking "what if" questions and continued working on their stories, including drawing pictures and reading them aloud. The students showed great enthusiasm for learning and did a remarkable job of presenting their stories. After the lessons, we headed to the SAIT cafeteria and enjoyed a healthy lunch with protein options such as meatballs and turkey, accompanied by sides like rice, carrots, and baby potatoes.

Following lunch, we returned to our residence to do some final practice before heading to IKEA to film our movie, "The Space Traveling Cowboy." The students dedicated themselves to acting out various scenarios to get into the right mindset, and their commitment and talent were truly impressive. After rehearsing and dressing in our costumes, we waited for the bus to take us to IKEA.

Upon arrival, we explored the store to find the perfect spots to shoot our scenes. It was a delightful and often humorous experience, and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves. After a hard day's work filming, we had supper at the IKEA Swedish Restaurant where the students savored a delicious meal consisting of meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberries, garlic bread, eggrolls, and juice. To conclude our movie day trip to IKEA, we treated the students to ice cream as a well-deserved reward for their efforts.

Once back at SAIT, we headed to the soccer field where the students had a blast playing soccer and volleyball. To cap off the day, we announced our Student of the Day, Alberto, in recognition of his outstanding acting skills. It was truly an exhilarating day at Wynchmena! Everyone is eagerly anticipating what tomorrow will bring.
