The morning at Wynchemna Camp began with a burst of energy and delightful aromas that made everyone’s day start on a high note. The breakfast table was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach—crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, golden waffles, and a variety of cereals set the scene for a lively start. The room buzzed with cheerful chatter and laughter as campers dug into their plates, fuelling up for an action-packed day ahead.

The first lesson was an exhilarating game of charades that had everyone in stitches. With creative clues and enthusiastic guesses, it was a fantastic way to break the ice and get everyone engaged. Next up was an insightful lesson on figure skating, where campers learned about the elegance and skill required to glide gracefully across the ice. The excitement was palpable as they imagined themselves performing pirouettes and spins. Following this, the group turned their attention to a practical and essential skill for any camper: creating a "to-do" list for survival. From packing the right gear to setting up camp, the campers meticulously planned their upcoming adventure. It was clear that they were eager to apply what they learned and make the most of their camping experience.

Lunch was a treat at the SAIT cafeteria, offering a delectable selection. Campers chose between a hearty Reuben sandwich, a juicy steak sandwich, or a comforting tortellini in rose sauce. The meal was a well-deserved break and gave everyone the energy they needed for the afternoon’s activities. The afternoon saw the campers honing their tent-building skills, practicing packing techniques, and tidying up their apartments in preparation for their departure. The campers worked together efficiently, ensuring that everything was in order for their camping trip. Next, the group ventured to the University of Calgary for dinner. The options were mouthwatering: fresh sushi, vibrant poke bowls, or savoury Korean barbecue. The array of choices made for a delightful dining experience, leaving everyone satisfied and ready for the night’s excitement. The highlight of the day was an ice skating session at the University of Calgary’s rink. Campers donned their skates and glided across the ice with joyful abandon. The rink was filled with laughter and cheers as they practiced their moves and enjoyed the sensation of skating.

The day concluded with a fantastic talent show that showcased the campers' diverse talents. From drawing pictures with their feet to tearing up the dance floor, and from soulful melodies to lively songs, the talent show was a testament to the campers’ creativity and enthusiasm. Each performance was met with cheers and applause, creating a warm and encouraging atmosphere.

As the day came to a close, it was clear that the campers had experienced something truly special. With hearts full of joy and anticipation, everyone at Wynchemna Camp is eagerly looking forward to tomorrow's departure for their camping adventure.
