International Supper!

Today the students woke up and had three lessons. They are practicing their english with presentations and many group discussions. Some students learned about idioms like “hit the sack” and “break a leg” while other students learned about Canadian currency. The students have been brining a great energy to each lesson and we see their english improving already.

The second half of the day the students were busy preparing International Supper. This is an event where students plan a meal to cook for the group from their country. One student from each group was voted as the head chef. The rest of the students were split into different rooms to help the head chef cook. The final group had a mixture of students from all different countries. The event started with the students going grocery shopping for ingredients. After getting everything they needed we headed back to SAIT to cook our meals. After 3 hours of cooking and preparing their meals the students presented them to each other and we enjoyed food from all over the country. All of the food was amazing! After cleaning up the meal the students sang their hearts out at karaoke.
