Kayaking, Baseball and Comedy Times!
It was a busy day for the Squirrels as we had lots of fun activities to engage in. We started our day in our breakfast groups as always and had lively conversations! In our lessons today we learned about detective work, family dynamics, other students backgrounds, and major historical moments of each others cultures. Students found the lessons both informative and thought provoking. We also went kayaking! The students learned all the different ways to paddle, as well how to turn around quickly. At the end we had a big race! The second activity of the day was baseball where we learned proper throwing and hitting form. When we played the games a lot of homers and great catches were made! We went to Denny’s for dinner where kids ate a variety of different foods including skillets, club sandwiches, nachos, chicken sandwiches and classic English breakfast. Then we returned back to SAIT for a Loose Moose workshop. In the workshop we learned the basics of improv along with some life lessons. We learned that it is okay to look at the world in your own unique way. The students have an early start tomorrow so they headed to bed after the workshop.
