Lessons, Games, and Loose Moose!
Today we started off our days with delicious breakfasts of lots of eggs and bacon before we started on our lessons which students were very engaged in! Some students discussed crime scene investigation, other competed against each other and reviewed different video game character statistics, and more students analyzed how to figure out the truth in an investigation through discussing clues. The kids also enjoyed an intense game of family feud about Canadian foods and landmarks!
After lessons, we were off to University of Calgary for Vietnamese food and some hot drinks, and some students ate ice cream for dessert. Students had a few hours to practice for their talent shows, and the teachers can attest to the expertise of many students. Everyone is extremely excited to see each other sing, dance, and perform their talents.
Eventually, we went to Denny’s for supper and ate some tasty pancakes, salmon, beef pot roast, and club sandwiches. Students got to experience the Loose Moose improvised comedy show and had a good laugh to end off the night. We also celebrated one of our students’ birthdays when we got back! Happy birthday Sara!
