Running the Bases in Boats: Baseball and Kayaking
The day began with a nutritious breakfast that provided the fuel needed for a day packed with activities. For lessons, conversations buzzed as we discussed creating advertisements and commercials, brainstorming ideas and sketching out concepts that would later come to life on paper. We also explored our home countries through colourful brochures, sharing insights into landmarks, cuisines, and cultural highlights. Discussions on baseball, kayaking, and reservoirs followed, with everyone contributing their thoughts and learning about new topics.
Lunch at the SAIT cafeteria was a relaxed affair, with hearty meals enjoyed amidst lively chatter and laughter. Energized, we headed to Glenmore Reservoir for an afternoon of kayaking under the warm sun. Paddling in sync, we explored the tranquil waters and soaked in the scenic surroundings.
Later in the day, we explored the sport of baseball, enjoying learning how to catch, throw, and hit a baseball and celebrating every great play. As the evening approached, we indulged in a novelty dinner at Denny's, experiencing breakfast for supper and sharing stories of the day's adventures.
Back at camp, preparations for the talent show were in full swing. From musical performances to magic acts, students practiced their routines with dedication and excitement, eager to showcase their talents at the upcoming show.
