Skating towards the finish line!
With the final day of lessons among us, students were running off to do their tasks for their last class of the camp. After quick slice of lunch at the University of Calgary. We walked over towards the Olympic Oval, which was used for the 1988 winter Olympic games. The massive rink was a new experience for many. The crew took their blades to the ice and carved away with speed. With so many natural first time skaters some students turned into McDavid with their natural ability to skate so smoothly. After two hours of laps completed, the crew was ready to vent to their next destination: North Hill Mall. With a quick and final shopping trip in Calgary, everyone craved a refuel and we scurried to Vanellis for some mouth-watering pasta and pizza. With a delicious supper in our bellies, the day ended with students returning to SAIT and getting a good night sleep so that they can party away for the next day at Wynchemna. Overall a victory day for the crew!
