Stanley Park Biking and Vancouver Art Gallery
Today we woke up at 8 AM. We went to eat breakfast and enjoyed the French toast with blueberries and maple syrup. The teachers prepared a thoughtful lesson about biking around Vancouver for us. We learned all the different parts of a bike, and how to fix it in English. Then we took the school bus to downtown Vancouver to go on a bike ride around the seawall, we saw beautiful views of the Pacific ocean. Then we went to a Vietnamese restaurant and enjoyed spicy Tom Yum soup and some of us learned how to use chopsticks for the first time. We continued the day with a tour of the Vancouver art gallery. Lessons two and three were conducted in the gallery by observing paintings and sculptures. The students enjoyed all of the Canadian culture and indigenous artwork. Supper was a delicious Thai fish dish, sausage, mashed potatoes and chocolate cake for dessert. Finally the day concluded with Canada’s official sport: lacrosse. Students learned how to catch and receive a lacrosse ball. Then we divided into two teams and had a small match before heading off to bed. We had a wonderful day together.
