Today the students woke up with olympic fever. Though the opening ceremony does not start until August 4th, the students ate olympic sized breakfasts. Why was olympic fever in the air you ask? Because today was beach volleyball and rock climbing. Rumour had it that some of the countries were short a few volleyball players and the kids rose to the occasion. Before the volleyball tryout the students listened attentively to their lessons, which covered such subjects as canadianisms, volleyball history and lexical anomalies. An olympic sized lunch was eaten. The kids boarded the bus with their athletic wear. After stretching it was time for the students to demonstrate their athletic prowess in the sand. Volleys, spikes, sets, passes, serves and blocks all took place. The students split the first two sets and the match was determined in the third set. The "smashers" won the game in the final point. Across town the other group was practicing their rock climbing. Now that they were experienced climbers they wasted no time with instruction and immediately ascended the walls. After they conquered the peak of the rock climbing gym, the students asked if they could climb Mount Everest. The answer was, "one day".After these activities the students worked up an olympic sized appetite. Luckily Boston Pizza had prepared an olympic sized meal for them for dinner. After dinner the students returned home satisfied with their olympic themed day and had an olympic sleep.[AFG_gallery id='489']
