Chattering Flying Squirrels - Bowling, Denny's, and Roller-skating
From the very beginning of the day it was clear that today was going to be a good day. More and more students volunteer and contribute within their breakfast groups each morning- and some even learnt how to make eggs for the very first time!Due to some unforeseen weather conditions, we were forced to postpone our day trip to Banff, but don’t worry, we already added the hike to our schedule for another day. While the weather might have ruined our plans, it seemed like nothing could have spoiled our students’ attitudes as they seemed as excited and interested in today’s English lessons as they were on the first day. It seems like everyone is really feeling comfortable within their classes which is a fantastic indicator of a group who is ready to master the English language. After a filling lunch here on campus, we spent some time playing board games and bonding as a unit. The moment the bus arrived to pick us up, everyone enthusiastically ran towards the bus which was en-route to a nearby bowling alley. Believe it or not, we have some serious bowlers in the group – watch out Nick Brett! The students then continued the evening with a tasty dinner before jumping into the roller skating rink. We enjoyed a leisurely skate around an arena which naturally emitted a fun disco ambiance as we listened to some classic tunes with a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. It really felt like the summer of 1969![AFG_gallery id='442'][AFG_gallery id='444']
