After a 9:30 breakfast, the students started a day full of fun and exciting lessons. These lessons included a stimulating discussion on the issues related to state surveillance, as well as time to create their own superhero comic strips. When the first two lessons of the day concluded, the students headed down to the 3rd floor for a delicious lunch catered by the Happy Hut. The lunch consisted of fish, garlic potatoes, a mixture of different salads, along with a number of other incredible dishes. Then the group drove to their first activity of the day, speed skating. This activity took place at the olympic speed skating oval, which was constructed for the 1988 Calgary Olympics. The kids had a blast whirling around in circles, as learned to skate on the gigantic ice surface. After the students returned to the SAIT campus, they finished up their final lesson of the day.The final activity of the day was a rigorous session of karaoke. The music from the night ranged all the way from a few stirring ballads to a number of party rock anthems which students screamed at the top of their lungs. Eventually the students tired themselves out and tottered off to their beds for a restful sleep.[AFG_gallery id='515']
