Hooting Snowy Owls - The Great Calgary Race - July 19, 2016

What another busy day for the Hooting Snowy Owls! We had a later breakfast to help recover from an awesome outing at the rollerskating rink last night. In the morning, we had three hours of lessons followed by a hearty and delicious lunch to prepare for the exciting activities in the afternoon. We had a big meeting in our country groups to discuss preparations for the international supper happening tomorrow night. The students had a lot of fun talking about their favourite foods and the most representative dish for their respective countries. Two head chefs from each country was nominated and a mouth-watering menu compiled! We can’t wait to see what the Owls come up with tomorrow night!Following the international supper meeting, the Owls embarked on a journey across Calgary. The Great Calgary Race was a smashing success that challenged the students to go outside their comfort zones and to practice their English not only with their teachers and peers, but also with strangers. The Owls completed tasks in their breakfast groups and had a great time exploring Calgary in the sunshine. We finished the night off with a delicious spaghetti meal at the scenic Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Calgary. Whew! What an action-packed day![AFG_gallery id='459']
