July 21st, 2016 - Great Calgary Race - Hissing Prairie Rattlesnakes

Today's breakfast started with a box of new waffles, which are the kids' favorite! The teachers spent some time editing each students article for Wynchemna 2016's newspaper. While making constructive comments for each student, to build their English skills. The teachers made sure to keep the essence of each child in their articles and made it authentic by not correcting every little mistake. To create the final product of the Wynchemna 2016 news letter, the students walked to the computer rooms. The sound of clattering computer keys filled the room as the students perused through the Wynchemna blog to choose the perfect photo to fit their work. After the students were placed on their team they were off to the Great Canadian race. Each team darted off in different directions to complete all of their missions. As the teams explored the downtown core, the students wandered with widened eyes, staring at Calgary's many wonders. After weaving their way throughout Calgary, the students and teachers met outside the Old Spaghetti Factory to enjoy a delicious three course meal of an appetizer salad, pasta entree, and ice cream for dessert.The students enjoyed some busking performances by Calgarian locals while the bus pulled up to take the kids back to SAIT. After our long day, the students went back tired and ready for a good sleep before our early morning start tomorrow.[AFG_gallery id='470'].
