Laughing Sea Lions - August 3, 2015 - The Grouse Grind
To prepare our students for our shopping day on Tuesday, we spent Monday climbing up Grouse Mountain, in North Vancouver. Nicknamed the "Grouse Grind" by locals, it is a beautiful mountain with orphaned grizzly bears, lumberjacks, owls and a windmill up on top. We braved the wildnerness and a rocky way up the hour-and-a-half hike, stopping along the way to rest and then continuing right up to the top. Sure there were complaints at the beginning, but the incredible views from the peak made up for it! We then headed home after a delicious meal and feeling satisfied with our endurance.
