Migrating Pacific Salmon - July 29, 2017 - The Great Vancouver Race
We rolled out of bed this morning around 9:30 and the students had breakfast at 10:00. They were ever grateful for the sleep-in time.First we were off to the farmers market. We wanted to experience a Saturday morning just like a local; so we brought our bags and chatted with vendors while sampling free items. Teacher Addy bought some locally grown cherries for the group to taste too. De-li-cious!We strolled back to the caf on campus for a brief lunch. We had spaghetti with meatballs, salads and crispy garlic bread. Then we were off to the downtown core. In three groups students sprawled out across the city to get pictures with the must-see Vancouver locations like the BC Stadium, Nelson Park, and Science World. For supper we blended in with the locals again by grabbing some food at the food trucks close to the Pacific Centre. We ended the day with an hour of shopping downtown.[AFG_gallery id='685']
