Piping Woodpeckers - August 7-8, 2014
Good morning Calgary! Getting up today was not so easy especially from our comfy, warm beds. We still had one final lesson, with everyone together we shared our top 10 Wynchemna moments at a nearby park. Camping, international supper, hiking, rock climbing, lessons etc. were popular amongst many but…one thing common to all was the people we were with who made Wynchemna such an amazing experience! In the afternoon, we put our helmets on and stepped on the ice (still with shoes) to play Canada's most popular sport, ice hockey! We had such a blast shooting the puck while slipping and sliding on the ice! What Canadian fun!Our last meal together at Nick's steakhouse. Food was delicious and the company was priceless. Following dinner we went back to SAIT to watch a slideshow the teachers put together. So many photos from camping and the activities; laughter filled the room as we remembered all of the good times and funny stories! Later the teachers gave out individual awards and certificates and a handful of photographs we could trade with our friends! We went around with pens and cameras, writing messages and taking selfies. Then the music came on and we all danced the night away… The next day was an emotional one…saying goodbye to our new friends is one of the hardest things at Wynchemna.Take care and safe trip back to all…keep in touch![AFG_gallery id='220']
