Splashing Harbour Seals - July 26, New students and bowling!

Rise and shine Wynchemna! The students on road trip woke up in Whistler with their bags all packed and ready to go, but first- Shopping! The students got a chance to eat breakfast and shop around the Whistler Village before we leave for Vancouver. Of course, we didn’t leave without taking a picture in front of the Olympic rings in the Whistler Olympic Plaza. Some students are already planning their ski trip to Whistler with their family this winter because the view here is just so breathtaking!We loaded the bus and drove to Vancouver to meet our new friends that are arriving from Ukraine, Hong Kong, China, Russia, Austria, Italy, and France. The students that have been here for a few weeks shared with the new students the amazing summer they can expect from Wynchemna and quickly bonded over how they had jet lags on the first days too.We had delicious curry from an Indian restaurant right here and campus, and had healthy and fulfilling dinner at Pita Pit before we went to bowling. Not just regular bowling, it was glow in the dark bowling!!! Friendly competitions is always a nice ice breaker on the first day. We got back to our residence around 10 and quickly went off to bed.
