Thumping Snowshoe Hares - July 11th, 2017 - The Great Canadian Race
The day started with some rain, but the sun came out just in time for our students to go on the Great Canadian Race. But before they went off to their adventures, they had three interactive lessons, followed by some Japanese and Austrian cuisine for lunch. On top of that, the students did their laundry today.During the race, the students had to find famous places in downtown Calgary, including: the Calgary Tower, the city hall, the Olympic Plaza, Eau Claire Plaza, and many more. They also got to take the C-Train all the way to the Millennium Skate park. On top of site-seeing they had to complete multiple tasks, for example: ask a friendly stranger to sign their t-shirt, find out the name of the oldest store in Canada, and get a fortune cookie in the city. The students loved the city and had fun posing in front of different locations. When the students have completed the race, we ended the day with delicious spaghetti at the Old Spaghetti Factory. We walked back to SAIT just as the sun was setting, and took a group photo by the Peace Bridge. Another fun and eventful day at Wynchemna![AFG_gallery id='603']
