Thumping Snowshoe Hares- July 12th- Stampede!

Today was a great, full of laughter, smiles and screams of excitement as we spent the day at the Calgary Stampede! There were so many different activities, rides and food to enjoy all throughout the day. At the beginning of our day, we spent time with our breakfast groups walking around the fair grounds and seeing what the Stampede had to offer. Some groups went straight to the rides, while others explored the agricultural centre. One of the highlights of today was when a student got to participate in a horse handling demonstration! We ate hot dogs for lunch together, then went back out to have more fun on the rides and games, a lot of the students won prizes! After spending the day at the Stampede we took the C-train back to campus and had supper together with our breakfast groups. Some also ended the evening with board games. We sent them to bed early so they can be well rested for another eventful day tomorrow![AFG_gallery id='606']
