Whispering Northern Raccoons - July 28th, 2017 - Sports, Sun and Supper!

What a busy first day! We started our day with a delicious hearty breakfast! We have some brilliant chefs in this camp, they already asked about all the different dishes they want to make for each breakfast. We are all excited to see what masterpiece meals we will create over the next month together. Right after our breakfast we headed out to do our English exams! Of course all of our students passed with flying colours.As the Raccoons finished their exams we headed out to the soccer field to enjoy a short game together. Everyone put their full effort in and it made for an exciting game to watch! Then they took turns shooting for the net, with a couple really good goals! We could have stayed playing all day, but we had a movie to plan. We can't tell you much about our movie as we are in planning stages and want it to be a surprise. But we can tell you that our students have some really exciting ideas and we're sure the next planning session will reveal our whole story!After such a busy morning, we were excited for our lunch at Happy Hut! The students went up for not only seconds but also for thirds! What a great start to our lunches here at SAIT. We then prepared for an afternoon of sports! Our first sport was street hockey. Since we all got to see a bit of a game last night our directions were short because we were raring to play! It was a great game with lots of excellent goals from both teams. Then we played some basketball. We started with a game of Bump, the students all trying to beat their teammates to get the first goal. It was exhausting and the students were ready for a bit of a break.We went to a jungle gym right beside the basketball court, we all acted like kids playing on the swings and climbing everything in sight. After all this we definitely needed to cool off, so we headed out to the wading pool. We splashed around, threw a football and a frisbee, just a really relaxing time all together! Today was very very busy but we aren't done yet! We have dinner to make. We all headed to the grocery store together to get all the ingredients we needed for chicken wings and nachos. All working together we created a delicious meal to end off our first day.So much to do and yet we still have so much more to discover here at Wynchemna!
