Aqua-bat-ics: A Day of Baseball and Kayaking
Happy Thursday Everyone!
Today’s adventure started off with some great lessons! We had fun writing a dramatic play, practicing line-dancing, and drafting new inventions. Following a lunch at the local SAIT dining hall, we took off towards the water. Our first activity was kayaking. Students eagerly hopped into their kayaks and paddled around the lake While we did have some go overboard, campers were still happy to glide around and discover what the water had to offer. Following that, students walked over to play baseball. They practiced their throwing, catching, and batting. They were all naturals. Many dingers!
We concluded these activities with a meal at Denny’s. Students had the choice between a club sandwich, fried salmon, or chocolate pancakes. You can guess what the kids mostly ate! With stomachs full, we headed back to campus to a Loose Moose workshop to practice improvisation and acting skills. Kids were encouraged to participate in games that helped them be more daring and have fun making mistakes. Students look forward to International Supper tomorrow and can't wait to make their countries proud!
