Calgary Stampede; Full of Fun, Food and Friends!

What an awesome day to go to Stampede!

Today’s adventure started off with a quick breakfast and a swift ride to the Calgary Stampede. Students were pumped to explore the vast rodeo filled with carnival games, roller coasters, and many types of food. One group decided to start their day by visiting the drop tower! We spent many hours traversing and exploring what Stampede has to offer for first-time goers. With sunscreen applied and water bottles filled, we used our English skills to talk to and navigate around. One highlight from today is Ryan, Nelson, and Calvin trying out ketchup-flavoured ice cream. We also visited the dog and horse shows throughout the day. It’s awesome to see what these animals are capable of! After some hearty sandwiches for lunch, many challenged themselves to try out roller coasters and carnival games. While the lines might have been a bit long, students were happy to hang out and chat with their peers. All of this culminated with a trip back to SAIT with lasagna for dinner. A full day for sure! Here’s to hoping that we made some life-long memories and continue to make more!
