Caribous take on Edmonton!
Today team Caribou made a four hour drive to Edmonton, Alberta’s capital city. It was a fun (and long) drive filled with music, laughter, chatting and most importantly sleeping, and maybe even a memory or two along the way.
Upon arriving in Edmonton, we visited West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America. On top of its 800+ stores, West Edmonton Mall includes 12 world class attractions, including an NHL sized ice rink and an indoor waterpark, 100 dinning venues, 2 hotels, and the widest variety of one of a kind retailers. West Edmonton Mall or “West Ed” as the locals call it, is so big, that if it were a country, it wouldn’t even be the smallest one!
We devoured traditional American cuisine for Lunch and finished the day later with Chinese Dim Sum.
Students were able to shop to their hearts content, and explore hundreds of different shops. On top of that, some brave students even got the chance to ride many of thrilling waterslides that the West Edmonton Water Park has to offer. A popular favourite among the bolder students was a slide called “The Cyclone” which was not only thrilling, but also a marvel of human engineering.
The students left the mall today craving more adventure and excitement!
