Loose Moose and Volleyball!

Today was a whirlwind! We started off with a scrumptious breakfast: banana Nutella waffles! It set us up for a great day ahead. The lessons today delved into a wide array of topics such as discussing story plots, Canadian currency, and even a touch of Timmies.

Venturing out to Vanillas, students indulged in some Hawaiian pizza and chicken wings, fueling them up for the upcoming activities. With a brief bump into some discussions about the Calgary Stampede tomorrow, students were able to serve up some ideas about questions they would want to ask locals. This was followed by questions from students about the activities available tomorrow. Many are excited about seeing bull riding and trying out as many attractions as possible.

Next, we took a trip to the Volleydome! Campers were pumped to play. Lots of energy and friendly competition! After tiring ourselves with V-ball, we hopped over to Denny’s to have some delicious blueberry pancakes and some bacon avocado cheeseburgers. That definitely fuelled us up for some great laughs at the Loose Moose Improv show. Kids were in awe of the actors abilities to make up scenes on the spot. Some highlights include a skit about a trip to the vet with the human dog and a dramatic face-off in a park. Great memories and iconic interactions with the crew. We concluded our day with an early-ish bed time in preparation of a huge day tomorrow!

The anticipation for tomorrow’s Calgary Stampede is strong and student went to bed content from a great day of sport and drama!
