Squash, Super Swimmers, and Swedish Meatballs

The Bobcats began their day in their breakfast groups working together to make a nutritious meal. After breakfast, students attended three brand new lessons taught by Sadie, Will, Trinity, and Meagan! The topics of these lessons were fun and engaging where they learned about different flags from around the world, created brochures for their home country, and participated in debates.

Students were excited to try new foods from around the world! We took a bus trip to Ikea for lunch where they enjoyed trying Canadian poutine, Swedish meatballs, and fish and chips.

Afterwards, the Bobcats played a variety of team games including Wink Murderer, Shuffle Shuffle, and Group Knot. We then travelled by bus to the Southland Leisure Center to play basketball and squash. Students had a fantastic time going in the wave pool, down the waterslides, and jumping off the diving board at the community center.

For dinner, we travelled to the University of Calgary where we had delicious Vietnamese food including chicken, pork, and fish.

To end our evening, students arrived back on campus after travelling by train and completed their third lesson.

We can’t wait to have another wonderful day at Wynchemna tomorrow filled with new experiences and exciting activities!
