Stampeding into Sunday!

Today's adventure at the Stampede was filled with excitement and learning for our students from diverse backgrounds. As we gathered for breakfast in our rooms, the students were buzzing with anticipation, discussing their expectations for the day ahead. Eager to explore, they had prepared questions about the Stampede, Calgary, and Canada itself, ready to interview anyone they met along the way.

The day kicked off with thrilling rides and carnival games. From "Pharaoh's Fury" to "Whack a Mole," and the eerie delights of the "Haunted Mansion," the students revealed the adrenaline of each attraction. Laughter echoed as they tested their skills at games like ring toss, while cooling off with colorful slushies to beat the summer heat.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the mesmerizing circus show by Le Cirque De La Unit, titled "The Starships of Wonders." With a blend of fire haze, stunning lights, pulsating sounds, and jaw-dropping acrobatics, the performance left everyone in awe.

After such excitement, lunch was served under the shade, where we enjoyed Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches accompanied by refreshing juice and snacks. Energized and creative, the students then invented their own games, showcasing their boundless imagination and teamwork.
Returning from the Stampede on the LRT train to SAIT was an educational journey in itself. The students eagerly learned the names of each stop and engaged in conversations with fellow passengers, sharing stories of their day.

Dinner was a hearty affair with lasagna, Caesar salad, and garlic bread, much to the delight of the students. As they savored their meal, they animatedly discussed their favorite moments of the day, cherishing the camaraderie and shared experiences.
Evening entertainment brought everyone together again, this time over board games from different corners of the world. Each student shared games from their home country, teaching others the rules and strategies, fostering bonds through friendly competition.

A special mention goes to Benson from Taiwan, recognized as the student of the day for his warm inclusivity and eagerness to connect with peers from across the globe. His inviting demeanor helped create an atmosphere where everyone felt welcomed and valued.
Overall, today was a blend of adventure, learning, cultural exchange, and pure fun a day our students will fondly remember and eagerly share with friends and family.
